Trisha moved from New Jersey 32 years ago to pursue her career in the pastry arts. Seattle’s booming restaurant industry provided opportunities for her to work with such local icons as Gretchen Mathers, the Schwartz Brothers and Tamara Murphy. Trisha was an integral part of the catering team that opened Benaroya Hall. She worked for Marco’s Supper Club in Belltown during its foodie heyday and started the pastry program at Elliot Bay Café. After caring for both parents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Trisha decided to parlay her decades of food service experience into working within the Senior Housing industry. It became her mission to work towards elevating the dining experience for residents in assisted and memory care communities. Trisha began working for GenCare in 2016 after reading about their Whole Life Living approach to dining. She creates the menus, writes the recipes, sources products and vendors, and supports the Corporate Culinary Director and the individual communities.
